How We Got Started

We started Cream City Homestead in 2024 to provide incredible care and service to both your dog and you. From small beginnings, we’ve added a whole range of services, making us the premier Small Business in West Bend, Wisconsin. While we’re proud of our fun and easygoing attitude, our commitment to the safety and security of your dog guides everything we do.

Our kennel is on our personal hobby farm giving your dog a home away from home feel while staying with us. Shelby the owner and operator is also a professional dog trainer giving years of knowledge and experience of dogs and dog behavior.

Owner/Professional Trainer

Shelby Naab

Shelby is the owner and lead dog trainer at Cream City Homestead, bringing over five years of professional experience to her work. With a background in animal science and equine science, she initially managed an equine therapy center in Illinois for three years. Seeking to be closer to family, Shelby returned to Milwaukee and spent another three years managing a dog daycare. While she enjoyed her time there, she recognized a growing need for dog training services, which led her to pursue a career as a professional dog trainer. After working with a reputable training company, Shelby decided to start her own business, combining all her passions. Cream City Homestead is nestled on five and a half acres of scenic countryside, located on a quiet dead-end road. Shelby has opened both her heart and her home to welcome your furry family member.
